Review: Right by Jana Aston

Wrong #2

I’m a big fan of Jana Aston. I love the humor of her books and I really love the sexytimes! She writes great couples and that is definitely the case in Right. This is the second book in her Wrong series. I will be honest, I didn’t really like the first book, Wrong. I just didn’t feel the chemistry between the main leads. But a friend told me to try her again and I’m so glad I did because Right is wonderful!

Everly Jensen has believed herself to be in love with her brother’s best friend her entire life. She even made her college plans based on the absolute conviction that they were meant to be together. Unfortunately, it seems like the big happily-ever-after she had in mind for them is not coming true. Instead, she’s being pursued by someone else. Someone who just happens to be the older brother of the guy she was convinced she’s been in love with her entire life. It sounds convoluted but Aston moves past this beginning quickly the story just picks up steam from there.

Sawyer basically falls for Everly at first sight. Like, he just knows he was meant to be with her. It just takes some convincing on his part to prove it to Everly. And boy oh boy does it work! Everly is a hoot. She is loud and lively and sweet, a bit selfish, but the important people in her life know they are loved. She would do anything for her best friend, Chloe. And soon, she realizes she would do anything for Sawyer.

And sexy? Talk about sexy. Everly and Sawyer definitely light the pages on fire. I know that sounds a bit cliche but it is one hundred percent the truth. I loved the sensuality of Sawyer and Everly. And even though Jana Aston throws a bit of a wrench in their love story at the end (spoiler: Sawyer has a son he was unaware of), I still really enjoyed the story. Everly has led a bit of a charmed life but she steps up into their relationship and shows Sawyer that he was right to pursue her. They are meant to be together. Her forceful personality shines through in the tough times.

Right is a great introduction to Jana Aston. Do not worry if you haven’t read the first book in the series. Honestly, I think starting with Right is a perfect choice for readers. She’s a great writer and you will have no trouble getting to know the secondary characters while also enjoying the main love story. Sawyer and Everly will keep you entertained!
