Review: Kitty Valentine Dates a Doctor by Jillian Dodd

Kitty Valentine Dates a Doctor is a new book from Jillian Dodd. It is part of the Kitty Valentine series, book two. This is a bit different style romance book than what I am used to. For one thing, do not expect a happily-ever-after. I want to put that out there because the entire premise of the series is that Kitty dates different men. It is a fun and I thought unique approach to romance books!

 

Kitty is a writer whose book sales have been very, very bad lately. Her agent suggests she spice up her books so, Kitty and her best friend decide to make a game out of it. Kitty will date one man in several romance “trope” categories (the first book is all about her dating a billionaire). I enjoyed her adventure in this book and I am baffled about how this will all end up for Kitty. I am very curious if a happy ending awaits her! I hope so.

 

Kitty is a fun character. She is kind, a good friend, and a writer willing to dig into her material. I know that sounds facetious but don’t worry, Kitty treats her doctor well. In the end, well, I will not spoil it but you’ll see how Kitty pushes forward with her plan.

 

Kitty Valentine Dates a Doctor is an interesting story! I did not read the first book in the series and at this point, I will probably wait until all the books are published to read any more of her stories but that’s only because I like to know endings of things. If you’re ready to follow Kitty’s adventures now, you will not be disappointed.
